The Emergency Power-Out Light - operates on a rechargeable 6 volt battery. The EPO is hardwired to existing or new 120 or 277vac power, which also provides the recharging ability. This back-up light source is totally self-sufficient and requires no maintenance other than a 6 month battery check up. There is no On/Off switch to prevent accidental or malicious turning off of the Power-Out back-up light unit.

The Power-Out will run for 6 to 8 hours on a full charge, allowing for ample time to safely exit the affected area, or to continue activity at a lowered light level. This emergency light's main purpose is to provide a lighted pathway to an exit.
