 The Sentry12 Motion Sensor is a "kit" type" add-on to the LED products we sell. The Sentry12 connects to the LED fixtures from the ABS plastic mounting box, which is also the mounting box for the sensor.
Installation requires a 12vdc power supply (transformer or battery) matched to the current load for the light fixtures. You could if required, install a dimmer but the dimmer will work only when the sensor has turned on the power. Installation is as follows: power supply to motion sensor, to dimmer (if required), to light fixtures.
The Sentry12 has three settings that are adjustable -
Time: pre-set is for 10-20 seconds on time when the sensor senses movement. Shuts down after the preset time.
Sensitivity: Set in middle and test for activation by pet/size. Decrease sensitivity to meet your own need. Increase sensitivity during winter so that it will work when multiple layers of clothing is worn. The Sentry12 will remain on as long as it senses movement/heat within its coverage area.
Day - Night Setting: Moon (left) is for night operation only. When fully turned to the right, it works during day only. Set it straight up for day and night operation. It will help the Sentry12 to work best if it is mounted under the edge of a house where it is dark but can see out where it is light. This is fully adjustable to work in any condition. |
